Told to "man up"

FH (engaged) has man flu.

All day has been irritable and snappy with me. I've tried to have patience but the last straw was me going out to get him some medicine and a bottle of wine half way there realised I forgot the bank card so doubled back (he was home alone with DC) he snapped because he was pissed off he was left to do the kids teas, I told him I forgot the bank card...
He threw it down on to the side like I was a dog waiting to play fetch! I was/am livid!
I sent him a message saying not to speak to me unless it was an apology and his response is "man up" 🤯

I would have got the wine and told him to get his own meds!

TomatoSandwiches · 30/09/2023 21:50

Tell him to take his own advice, how pathetic.

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/09/2023 21:52

What a dick. I assume this isn’t entirely out of character?

mummabubs · 30/09/2023 21:52

If looking after the kids is that arduous then he can go and get his own meds. Ungrateful whatsit. Sorry OP, hope he apologises soon and appreciates you looking after him. X

EvilElsa · 30/09/2023 21:52

Tell him to get fucked. He can "man up" and get his own medicine can't he.

Bryonny84 · 30/09/2023 21:55

I would take the bottle of wine, go to bed with it and a decent glass, leave him to deal with the kids and tell him to Man Up. He'll get over it.
