I need some advice on safeguarding: or lack of when sectioning has been involved. This involves teenagers. If anyone can help please dm me.

It's probably someone who knows about the Mental Health Act you need rather than a 'safeguarding expert'.

Safeguarding means different things in different situations and is situation dependent.

You are probably right. I’m just desperate.

hi OP, I have some safeguarding experience and some psych experience. have only sectioned adults though. if someone more expert doesn't come along, I am happy to help.

What’s happened OP?
is everyone safe?

I have some safeguarding experience but not in this particular area so unlikely to be much help, however I would suggest not relying too much on somebody PMing you. You don’t know that they definitely have the experience that you’re saying and you’ll have nobody to counter any bad advice you’re receiving if they aren’t that trustworthy. Can you give some basics on the thread instead or NC and start a new thread maybe?

Mind have a legal helpline here: https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/helplines/

Opens Monday.

Doesn't have to be mental health related but if a person is at risk of harm either financial, emotional, neglect or physical by someone else or by themselves then it's a safeguarding matter
