Cadbury and about two foot shorter than when I was a child.
OMG a five pack and only 98 calories if you obey the one a day rule.

YABU. I am not paying good money for holes. It’s a swizz.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 29/09/2023 21:18

Can't eat them they get stuck in my teeth

KMA2023 · 29/09/2023 21:19

Aahh but the holes make you appreciate the chewy chocolate and toffee more.

YABU. It's just a Chomp with pretensions.

ChipAndMiss · 29/09/2023 21:20

Have you tried freezing them? Then smash against the counter top before you open the wrapper.

KMA2023 · 29/09/2023 21:20

Yes stuck in your teeth but you can enjoy them for hours until the electric toothbrush comes out.

SunflowerOranges · 29/09/2023 21:20

I think they are a bit oily and weird now.

KMA2023 · 29/09/2023 21:21

Chomp? What is this 80's nonsense.

Tireddoggy · 29/09/2023 21:22

Absolutely love a curly wurly. Shall get some tomorrow to help my diet 😊

KMA2023 · 29/09/2023 21:24

What else can you eat for 98 calories that makes you smile even if oily and weird?
Please don't suggest fruit or peanut butter on a bloody apple slice.

I've rediscovered Dime bars, they're called Daim bars now. Still lovely, not sure how many calories but can't be many.

Gillstuck · 29/09/2023 21:28

... disappointing and not the sweet-nirvana I remembered from my childhood.

KMA2023 · 29/09/2023 21:32

Nostalgia just ain't what it used to be 😁

A nightmare for the chocolate coating falling apart and putting crumbs everywhere

Skips. Prawny yumminess.

TheNestedIf · 29/09/2023 21:50

They're only 98 calories because when you bite them, all the chocolate containing the other 284 calories falls off. They're all yours. I can't bear the disappointment.

JanBlue · 29/09/2023 21:51

Rudolph (the reindeer)’s favourite treat is a curlywurly. We leave him one every year which means I have to eat the other 4 from the 5 pack. Shame huh?

SabbatWheel · 29/09/2023 21:51

I love a curly wurly but not had one since they were responsible for me needing my first crown 🙈😢

ButWhyy · 29/09/2023 21:53

But I like bounty?

Iced Gens

Aperolspit · 29/09/2023 21:55

I love a curlywurly however, being Scottish, it's currrerrrlywurrerrrly. Takes ages to say, 6 syllables I think 🤣

AllWeWantToDo · 29/09/2023 21:55

I think freddos are 98 too

HappiestSleeping · 29/09/2023 21:59

Cheeky bastards made Mars Bars smaller, and then released the original sized bars as 'King sized'.

Our maybe I got older. Or maybe a bit of both 🤔

TheHateIsNotGood · 29/09/2023 22:11

Never liked Curly Wurlies myself - too much effort involved. After many years/decades of not caring much about chocolate - I rather like it now I'm 60+; I completely mullered a 'large' pack of Revels the other day to make up for the years of deficiency.

I used to like Lion Bars and couldn't understand how anyone could eat an entire Mars Bar, nowadays you have to tie me down if I'm near a 4-box of Mars Bar Ice Creams.

I find a Twirl does the job but for those that prefer CurlyWurlies what about a Crunchie?

FallingAutumnLeaf · 29/09/2023 22:16

Not sure how they managed it, but I sometimes get chocolate in free samples with work. Last week, I got a curly wurly that had been flattened in some way. It was all sort of melty, but solid, and mangled. But yummy because it was free. The freddo didn't survive a similar process nearly as well!
