Working out flight arrival time

Brumbies · 29/09/2023 08:32

I'm struggling here, this is the scenario.

The departure country is 6 hours ahead

Flight leaves on the 8th at 01.00 (that is 1am) local time

Flight time is 12 Hours

When does flight arr in London?

Is it on the 8th at 7 am London time?

Put the flight number into Google.

snoooom · 29/09/2023 08:33

Yep!

Cantthinkofadifferentname · 29/09/2023 08:34

So flight 1am on 8th, 6 hours ahead of London, so leaving 7pm on 7th London time

12 hours later, 7am on 8th

Landing times are always in local time - just look at your flight schedule for the landing time.

Fightyouforthatpie · 29/09/2023 08:39

Also flight times are generally quite pessimistic so it may actually land early.

Dontcallmescarface · 29/09/2023 08:48

It tells you what the landing time is on the flight schedule.

That's how I'm working it out. It doesn't help as they say drop flight 12.59 am end I think it should read 00.59

They are not using the 24 hour clock - lots of countries don't

Look up flight number on Google, also the flight confirmation will tell you the expected landing time in local time

JustWhatWeDontNeed · 29/09/2023 08:56

You're over thinking it, just look up the flight!

Poppyblush · 29/09/2023 09:03

Why don’t you look at the flight number? So obvious

RockaLock · 29/09/2023 09:05

12:59am and 00:59 are the same time, it's just that as a PP said, they have not used 24hr time.

This.

But just look at the arrivals board for the same flight on the same day of the week on the airline website.
