I work in a male dominated industry. I am a senior manager with a great many responsibilities. I have just had a conversation with the tutor of an Apprentice on our books. He assumed I was the wife of the boss! WTAF? I gave him zero reason to think this and spoke with him in a professional manner.
AIBU to be totally gobsmacked with this? I guess if I was blessed with a penis and a gruff voice I would be assumed to be a competent manager.
Why does this still exist?
