I can't see a post anywhere about this but I'm heartbroken for the family of this poor girl. How can we move forward as a society with this being a reaction to be being spurned or rejected? What can we do to protect our children from the deluge of knife crime, is it worse than it ever was or is it just more widely reported? My heart was in my mouth yesterday seeing the news and knowing I'd just put my own daughter on the bus to school. I've often thought recently about how parents of boys must be so scared every time their son leaves the house and I know girls have been stabbed before but something about this being on the way to school has really hit hard. AIBU to take this one so badly? Can this spur some change and if it doesn't - what will?
