Brighton help?

If I'm travelling from Cornwall to Brighton but want to stop somewhere very close to Brighton for a couple of nights, where should I go? Not Bournemouth as I've been there loads. I'm thinking somewhere within 2 hours of my final destination in Brighton?! Any ideas. Id be doing a solo trip, maybe a nice spa hotel, somewhere by the coast with a pier, not sure!

New Forest?

The Witterings? Chichester if a town needed

Bailiffscourt Spa Hotel, it's Littlehampton and you're near Arundel which is lovely for a day out

Carey’s Manor in Lyndhurst New Forest.

Sorry I should have said I like quite touristy bustling places as opposed to quiet rural spots. I was thinking Bognor Regis or Portsmouth or something?

We’ve spent a couple of nice nights in Bognor

Worthing? A smaller, more relaxed Brighton (although it's quite close to it, about 12 miles)

Chichester or arundel are also lovely - popular, pretty, touristy but not beach

The drive between Portsmouth and Brighton is often very congested so if you want to be a maximum of two hours away I would definitely get closer to Brighton than that. Theoretically it only takes a couple of hours, but often it can be several hours of traffic jams.
Worthing has some good stuff going on these days, but is definitely not as buzzy as Brighton.

I would agree with getting closer than Portsmouth if you want to be sure to be less than a couple of hours away.

Littlehampton is nice and has some nice B&Bs around the harbour.
