To ask for your help with my Sage coffee machine

My DC bought me a lovely Sage coffee machine for Mother’s Day. It often flashes lights for a descaling cycle. It’s meant to do this every 200 cups but I’m sure it was more frequent.

Now I can’t get it off the descaling cycle. Every time I turn it on, the lights flash and I have to descale it. For the past 2 weeks I’ve made one half cup of coffee and it clicked straight in to descaling mode half way through.

Can anyone help me please? I don’t know what to do. Photo of machine attached.

Sorry no idea, I assume you have checked the instructions and also have let it finish descaling at some point?

There’s various online forums which might be better able to help, one is Coffeeforums and another is Appliancechat, have a look there? If it’s a common problem you may even find a youtube on it.!

Thank you. I’ll try the troubleshooting on the link. I’ve read the instructions and let it finish several descaling cycles. Will update when I’ve worked through the link, thanks so much.

You made me laugh @wynnefr and that almost made up for the lack of coffee. Still can’t get it working.

I saw a fix from Reddit where you switch it on with the single and double button at the same time. But if it’s problematic, I’d reach out to Sage for a replacement. I’ve had the same machine for a couple of years now, and not had that problem.

Thank you. That hasn’t worked unfortunately, but I think you’re right, I need to get it replaced. Good to know you haven’t had trouble with yours.
