Multiculturalism

I welcome diverse peoples who want to positively impact our society our nation has benefited from them. I welcome those in genuine need, our nation has a proud record of offering them asylum.
I believe it is reasonable for the U.K. to have a system where we reject those who come here illegally without a genuine need for asylum.
In my dream world everyone would be free and able to take responsibility for themselves, we can’t change the world and realistically we can’t take the world in. Am I unreasonable? What is the answer?

The real answer is the have the right infrastructure, doctors, dentists, schools, housing etc so everyone gets the services they need.

The government insisting we house thousands of people with not long term solutions to jobs, housing and health care is the real issue.

The other single issue is people being left on asylum claims in no man’s land, unable to accept a job, living in poor conditions and feeling worthless. That does not make a happy society:

Why have you titled it ‘multiculturalism’ ? Majority of none British people in the UK will be here through visas, not asylum applications.

@Hermittrismegistus because I was prompted to ask the question by a newspaper article with that title. In retrospect I could have done better.
