What is this new hell?! I've tried everything to rid myself of the black squares on my thighs - baby oil, everything, I end up scrubbing until I'm raw! There must be a solution that I'm missing?! My thighs look like a chequerboard!!!

Urgh, I hated this too. Once your skin's warmed up in the shower, use your finger under a flannel with some shower gel and rub it off. Alternatively, I used to sometimes pick it off when I was sitting on the loo :-)

NannyR · 25/09/2023 13:28

I use the evorel patches and I just rub a bit of vaseline on the area when I remove it - any residue washes off easily in the shower the next morning.

ShutTheFrontDoor · 25/09/2023 13:29

I use gel, much prefer it although it is more time consuming.
well maybe not if you have to spend so long picking the glue off.

Flashinggreen · 25/09/2023 13:29

Nivea eye make up remover

I had some of this in the cupboard and I use it on a cotton pad

MatildaTheCat · 25/09/2023 13:29

Another vote for gel.

escript · 25/09/2023 13:30

I just use a flannel in a warm bath. Comes off nicely. Sometimes I forget and notice the glue squares !

dippyduck1 · 25/09/2023 13:30

I use gel now but when I had patches I used a product called Lifteez, one wipe and it was all gone

everycowandagain · 25/09/2023 13:32

Baby oil does work but you need to put plenty on and massage it into the glue residue really well, in little circles. Then put more baby oil on a cotton wool pad and wipe the residue off.

AnonAnonandAriston · 25/09/2023 13:34

I get remove wipes, comes right off

cardibach · 25/09/2023 13:37

This is why I opted for gel. I can’t stand sticky stuff all over me.

SomeoneSomewhere21 · 25/09/2023 13:40

It’s a bugger isn’t it.
I find nail polish remover pads do the trick (the vitamin E ones in a little pink tub from Superdrug to be specific)

StanleyGoodspeed · 25/09/2023 13:41

I use baby oil, never had a problem it comes right off

Excitedannie · 25/09/2023 13:42

Ooooh I'm off to look at the remove stuff - didn't occur to me that there was such a product! I used a loofah this morning - and I'm literally red raw!!!!!! If the remover doesn't work, I'm going over to gel!!

I bought sticky stuff remover pads from Amazon. A box is £7.99 and lasts 10 weeks.

Zoff Adhesive Remover Wipes - 20 Wipes

Zoff pads from Amazon are what you need and you've just reminded me to order some more!

escript · 25/09/2023 14:20

I think I'll have a look at those wipes too.

This! I pick it off when on the loo. Or bored.

Yep, 'neat' shower gel on finger tips, rub over thoroughly and a rub off with sponge or flannel. Roll any remaining residue off with fingers or towel.

Needhelptodothis · 25/09/2023 14:24

Baby oil and a dry flannel, comes off in seconds x

Weddingpuzzle · 25/09/2023 14:25

I use the patch that I am discarding to remove the black grubby stuff. The glue sticks to the glue IYSWIM? Rub it off that way.

When I last looked I found it really difficult to get zoff (have used it for years, remember being a little kid and mum getting the bottle out to remove plaster residue!) but the remove are the same branding with the orange square on the box - not sure if they are changing the name or just from a different place

MujeresLibres · 25/09/2023 16:27

Nail polish remover should do it.

confusedlots · 25/09/2023 16:40

amicissimma · 25/09/2023 16:42

Switch to tablets. Swig of water, gone.

This is a great idea! Why did I not think of that?!
