Insomnia is killing me

I'm 30 and for the past 7 years, I cannot sleep at night.

I have a 4 month old baby that sleeps better than I do and I'm exhausted.

I doze off then wake up what feels like immediately.

I am at the end of my patience with it. I have used zopiclone before prescribed by Dr which works but I haven't taken any since I found out I was pregnant and had baby as it sends me into a deep sleep.

I lay awake tossing and turning, I have the most comfortable mattress and bed that I do not want to leave in the morning when DD wakes up because I'm up at this stupid hour. It's really making me depressed and frustrated and I'm running on empty.

I've tried Nytol, anti histamines, herbal tablets and drinks, warm baths and no screen time for a couple of hours before bed, reading, cut out caffeine all together etc and none of it works for me. I'm utterly fed up, I'm seeing GP tomorrow but no idea how to explain how bad I actually feel 😢

Try and push for a sleep study. I also find myself wide awake after the end of my first sleep cycle, usually 90 minutes. I haven't had the results of mine yet but it was suggested by the consultant that there are ways to retrain yourself into better sleeping patterns. Just knowing it is being investigated has made me less anxious. I really feel for you, it's just awful x

Try Lindens Magnesium Oxide 500 mg at night. Take 30 mins before sleep.

Magnesium at night (preferably an hour before sleep) as PP said before, make sure it's the right version for taking at night, for anyone of peri or menopause ages - HRT too.

I'd get a sleep study too at your age OP you must be exhausted
