Husband has this on his head, can see better in real life. He’s worrying it’s some sort of cancer. I think it’s just from a hair follicle. Anyone got any ideas?

ive circled it blue so it’s easier to see.

to make it an aibu, aibu to tell him to shut up and stop being paranoid over it 😂😂

I am in no way an expert, but the skin cancers I've seen have been black mole type. I have also seen clear coloured things that have been blocked follicles. How long has it been there? In my experience, unexplained lumps get checked out extremely quickly, even with the NHS in the state it's in.

He said about 2 months. He’s just been reading about blocked follicles but not sure he’s even taking it in. I’d tell him if I thought it was anything bad! It definitely looks like soemthing to do with a follicle as it’s all around where he’s losing his hair and where he has dry skin

I'd have it looked at. If he's worried he's better seeing a gp than MNers. I hope it turns out to be nothing for him. I just wouldn't ignore if it's something he's never noticed before.

?ringworm.
A pharmacist will be able to tell him if it's fungal or if he needs to see a GP. So get him to a pharmacy tomorrow.

It looks fungal.

DH had one very similar last year. It was removed (cut out) fairly quickly at hospital. Easy and painless. Tested and benign. He’s just had another taken out from behind his ear, in fact twice as not enough taken out first time. Again benign. Best be safe.
i do believe some GPs have a service where you can send photos of ‘suspicious marks’ electronically for inspection by a doctor.
