To chase up job..

Applied for role I am 100% sure I should at least get an interview for. Clearly hit all the criteria.
Closing date was Monday & they said they would be inviting successful applicants for interview wc 25 sept. I thought I would have heard by now and tbh have a really hectic week next week so would kind of like to know if I'm going to have to drop everything one day, which day that might be! I'm starting to think maybe I'm not through to interview as surely they'd have had time to sift through to a shortlist by now? In which case I'd be massively disappointed and actually very disillusioned.. but that's another story. AIBU to chase up the HR contact if still not heard by tomorrow? Totally aware I sound 'needy' here!! I just really want to leave my current job and this one sounds so perfect!

As a hiring manager, I wouldn’t appreciate being chased after only 2 days. It would give me the impression you’d be difficult to manage.

Fair. And actually, I keep thinking they've had 3 days but it is only 2 as closing date was Monday.
I know I'm being ridiculous!

Yep, soz. Too soon. Earliest I’d do it would be Monday next week.

At my place, first sift is performed by HR and then by recruiting panel. Even with half a dozen applications it can take a few days.

Agree it's too soon to get in touch

Panic over.. I have been invited for interview Halo
