And ask ourselves what that says about us and our unconscious, that we persecute the truly innocent, chosen ones.

Forgive me father, for I know not what I do.🙏🙏🙏

"He's frighteningly intelligent". Obviously, look how clever he's been putting himself in this situation, all his own work you know. I worry about some posters on here.

Women don't apply for jobs unless they have every qualification listed in the advert.

Men just blag and wing it by talking waffle.

It unfortunately convinced a lot of people because they are impressed by self confidence.

But anyone who has proper knowledge of a subject can spot someone talking bollocks a mile off.

Whenever he does these rants he never has anything substantive or meaningful or groundbreaking in them. It's waffle fluff covered in a thesaurus.

Can someone post the link to the video? Want to see for myself and have tried looking for it in the comments.

I liked a pp’s idea of watching with sound off and am gonna do the same. I did that for Friday ‘it wasn’t me’ rant and it’s the same angry bear, bared teeth look.

TooBigForMyBoots · 21/09/2023 09:26

I put a link to it in the OP.

The one thing that warms my heart is that there are loads of similar rapists/perves now starting to feel uncomfortable and like they might be caught next.

Tick tock fellas.

I hope so.🤞

He has a lot in common with Boris Johnson (although I'm not suggesting BJ is a rapist)
Powerful, charismatic, self important, egotistical, using lots of pompous and waffling words, carefully curated messy hair, and (most baffling) seemingly attractive to lots of women.

Yes Boris is another one who bamboozles us with his speech and talks a complete load of word salad, yet our country voted him in as Prime Minister!

What does it say about us as a nation that we are putting the likes of Russell and Boris on a pedestal?

I know the US has it's fair share of nut jobs that are lauded, but do other countries in general do this?

Ahh so you did!!

Is this TikTok content contemporaneous? It seems like a strange thing to put out there as the first thing he says after the Dispatches video….I can only think it is something he posted previously, doing the rounds again??

I have to admit that there is some part of my sexuality that is attracted to RB. It's kind of instinctive. A womaniser like him recognises this response in women, and if he understands women's bodies, is a very successful seducer. Especially if he talks to them as if they are an adult, and displays a little of his own vulnerability.

I think RB has a good intellect, and is clever rather than intelligent. He's certainly lost the plot, though...

SequentialAnalyst · 21/09/2023 12:31

That's what's been bugging me! Grooming is the modern word for seduction. The misogynist view of seduction admired seducers, and men used to collude in hunting women as prey - am old, can remember jokes about bachelors and the number of notches on the bedhead, little black book, etc (See also Wayne's World!)

SequentialAnalyst · 21/09/2023 12:33

And effective contraception, which really only began for younger people with The Pill in th late 1960s, obviously has an effect on how society views sex, and that society's sexual behaviour.

kingtamponthefurred · 21/09/2023 12:44

Why can't the man keep still for two seconds? I yearn to slap him for that alone.

GilbertMarkham · 21/09/2023 16:04

Someone mentioned Andrew Sachs; he also clashed with Bob Geldoff who disliked him due to his behaviour to one of his DDS, I believe (and behaviour in general), which led to a little spat, which led to RB sliding in a nasty comment about BG "dining out on one song for decades" into a speech (he was a presenter).

He's been clashing with other men about their femaie relatives for years.

GilbertMarkham · 21/09/2023 16:06

I remember seeing the very purposeful way he slipped the insult to Bob Geldoff into the speech and how "job done/self satisfied" he looked immediately after.

GilbertMarkham · 21/09/2023 16:08

Not successful enough not to end up sexually assaulting and raping women though - according to the allegations.

Rod Steward told him off at an award ceremony for 'joking' on stage about having had a go on his daughter.

Sorry - my post was in response to Joolsin, but the quote didn't appear. Joolsin said they couldn't decide whether he was thick as mince or frighteningly intelligent - I don't think he is as thick as mince. I didn't mean frighteningly intelligent as in he is cerebral or an intellectual (maybe I should have left out the frighteningly!) However, I do think the level of manipulation Brand has used does indicate a degree of intelligence. If you compare him with someone like Trump, who isn't that bright but is also facing accusations of abusive and narcissistic behaviour, they conduct themselves very differently. Someone who is a bully and aggressive is very very scary. Someone who is a bully, aggressive but who is also bright can be far more dangerous. To dismiss Brand as thick fails to acknowledge the calculated way he has gone about his abuse and subsequent response. His wording in his initial denial, for example - he states his relationships were all consensual. The relationships themselves may have been (granted this does not include the grooming element revealed in the documentary) but it appears many of the acts he committed once he was in those relationships were not. Verbose, yes. But I also think he thinks and plans.

Yes to this.
I encounter people who are abusive, nasty but stupid every day at work. The ones who are abusive, nasty and have some intelligence and the ability to manipulate and tell clever lies..are something very very unpleasant and scary. They're the ones who make people's lives a living hell.

TorqueWrench · 20/09/2023 23:53

Oh come now. He's probs just a dirty little bastard that abused his power. All this hyperbole about 'dark arts' and his eyes mysteriously changing colour is a bit daft.

👏 let's not give him super power, he's just an abusive horrible bastard with a media platform

Well, that's my point.
You have to reel them in first - that's the seduction part.

SequentialAnalyst · 21/09/2023 17:08

And let's face it, some women like things a little rougher - negotiated by looks and voice tone when you are eyeing each other up as fanciable. I'm sure I can't be the only one (apol if TMI).

SequentialAnalyst · 21/09/2023 17:13

Not apologising for rape! Not saying anyone is asking for it! Just explaining how someone might end up being raped non-consensually, extrapolating from my own lived experience with some lovely men who are NOT rapists.

Bumblebeestiltskin · 21/09/2023 17:15

Edited

But being "a little rougher " because its what your partner likes is very different to being a little rougher because you don't give a shit about the other person and just want your own needs met.
You don't have sex with countless women because you are interested in what they want.
I don't think he comes across as clever. He's massively unoriginal when he talks. I quite like the look but I'm always disappointed when he says something. He's like a teenager, lots of energy but all about them and they often know less than they think.

It sounds like you've misunderstood me. Did you read my post of 17.13?
