AIBU to think that celebrity bad behaviour isn’t challenged because they make corporations money.
Russel Brand mistreated women repeatedly and also bragged about his behaviour. He assaulted and raped. The witness said that they, management considered having male crews to avoid women being assaulted.
Ricky Gervais admitted in an interview that he had people sign contracts that would give him access to their future earnings and that he would never have signed a contract like that. He also wrestled co workers and shows the unbalanced power dynamic and taking advantage of others.
At some point celebrities become so powerful that they don’t need to follow rules and can abuse people with impunity.
