To drive to school when it's raining?

The walk there takes 20 mins there. My son is 7 and I have to take my 3 year old with us too. At the moment I struggle with motivation to walk anywhere when it's wet. Obvs at the moment it's not that cold.

Am I being unreasonable to drive? I feel guilty about it like I'm teaching my children to be fair weather children...but I'm a fair weather person!

If it was 5-10 mins I’d say yes YABU. But 20 mins with a 3 year old would be torture at the best of times, let alone if it’s pissing it down.

I find my kids are much more focused and settled if they do walk to school so would walk.

For a 20 minute walk with a 3 year old I would also drive in the rain

I would definitely drive in the rain.

I would 100% drive. I didn't spend £££ on driving lessons and thousands on a car for my kids to get soaked.
To be fair though, I do allow them to walk home in the rain but they haven't then got to sit in soggy shoes etc all day.
