Fungal or impetigo

Doctor says early impetigo (based on photo). Pharmacist says definitely not impetigo, based on seeing her face...

Can't see an actual Dr for a few days.

Its itches but she's well. Came on for no reason at school.

Help. Should she go to school tomorrow?

Fungal or impetigo

Sorry. know its annoying when people ask medical questions but I'm a bit stumped. There's only one mark. And its on her cheek nowhere near her nose

Looks a bit yellow crust
voting impetigo

unless yellow tinged photo

My son had impetigo, looked like a little spot like the photo then spread over the next few days. I would go with what the dr says. Impetigo is highly contagious so I would keep your child off tomorrow just incase.

I think we'll have to. So frustrating as was so relieved when the pharmacist said fungal.
Will try dr again tomorrow

Did the doctor give you some treatment ?
if so just start it and it should clear it up in a few days

the best plan is to treat as impetigo as that spreads quicker

no need to speak to the doctor again unless it doesn’t settle

I can't afford a few days off work if its not impetigo. Thats why I was relieved it was fungal!

For anyone who googles this in a few years- it is impetigo
