Sure Start Maternity Grant - can anyone help asap?

Hi guys, posting for traffic ofc!

If you claim maternity allowance and not SMP, are you still able to claim the grant as long as you’re on UC/Tax Credits? I’d love to hear from anyone who’s on maternity allowance and has claimed.

It's means tested. If you receive uc you are probably eligible. You can only claim it once though so won't get again if you have claimed before. The midwife can sign the form for you from 29 weeks onwards
