TrinityRhino · 04/03/2008 13:30

lol I get excited about that kind of thing too
hope its a good one, I meanwhile will be panicking that the first time visit from my cleaner will result in house condemnation...

scorpio1 · 04/03/2008 13:30

i love jeremy kyle double bill!!

kayzisbroody · 04/03/2008 13:32

I would get excited but I watched it this morning so the one at 1.30 I have seen and I have normally seen the second one.

But I completely understand.

Yes completely

Carmenere · 04/03/2008 13:38

YABU and possibly commit-able

nappyaddict · 04/03/2008 13:40

hope i've got the right person but SCORPIO1 could you come over to this

sorry for the hijack!!

PorridgeBrain · 04/03/2008 13:50

I'm sorry but I really can't share your enthusiasm for the Jeremy Kyle show. Every time I turn it on, its just people bickering over who is the father of their child. Whatever happened to good old fashioned chat shows like Kilroy and 'The Time The Place' (am I showing my age??) where they used to talk about decent and varied subjects and without it turning into a slanging match or a good old punch up within 5 minutes of viewing!

porridgebrain - don't you like it just so you can have a good laugh at how ridiculous it is though? and so you can think yourself lucky you have a much better life

mrsruffallo · 04/03/2008 13:53

I think it is a vile show- exploitative and depressing

scorpio1 · 04/03/2008 13:57

does anyone know where she is from? Think i recognise her...

PorridgeBrain · 04/03/2008 13:58

Nappyaddict - I must admit, I did use to watch it and laugh at the ridicule of it all - but now it just bores me I'm afraid, its just like watching the same episode of a bad soap over and over and over again! Have now discovered 'The Wright Stuff' on Channel 5 which is on at the same time as JK in the morning- much more up my street

francagoestohollywood · 04/03/2008 13:58

Kilroy is evil though! !
Sorry I really can't stand those kind of show.
However, when the dc were tiny and went for nap I got excited when it got time for "Escape in the country" which I watched religiously, sipping a nice cuppa.

princessosyth · 04/03/2008 13:59

YABU. It makes me really depressed. I agree with mrsruffallo.

ALMummy · 04/03/2008 13:59

No - I love him. DH always slags him off but is utterly gripped whenever it is on and yes I know it is wrong, wrong, wrong but I just cant help watching. I love lie detectors and DNA results the best.

francagoestohollywood · 04/03/2008 14:00

escape to the country, obviously

mrsruffallo · 04/03/2008 14:02

Hill stret Blues and Cagney and Lacey are more up my street- don't have time to watch anymore sadly

dirtygertiefromnumber30 · 04/03/2008 14:02

omg, i cant watch one second of that programme. i find it totally draining. how can you watch arguements for fun?

francagoestohollywood · 04/03/2008 14:04

Cagney and Lacey, is it still on???

dirtygertiefromnumber30 · 04/03/2008 14:04

mind you..when i was pregnant with dd i used to watch all those real life birth stories! Thats a bit sick too imo!

francagoestohollywood · 04/03/2008 14:04

(I got excited with reruns of "the golden girls")

francagoestohollywood · 04/03/2008 14:05

real life birth stories, check. (esp when bfeeding. I reckon I can perform a c-section with my eys closed )

dirtygertiefromnumber30 · 04/03/2008 14:08

lol. i used to love it when the hippy lentil weavers droned on about their birth plan that relied on reflexology and aromatherapy but when it came to it they were screaming for an epidural!

francagoestohollywood · 04/03/2008 14:11

I was mostly amused by the american approach to childbirth, very OTT.
