I'm going to have to find a new supermarket to shop at. There I was minding my own business wandering down the chocolate biscuit aisle when another customer shouted look at that, it's massive! So of course we looked to where he was pointing at and there was one of the biggest spiders I've seen crawling along the bottom of the biscuits! 😱😱 I jumped and pushed my trolley away and when a nearby sales assistant was shown, he just shrugged his shoulders and said what do you expect me to do about it? I obviously moved quickly, meaning I couldn't get any chocolate but could hear another woman telling him there are so many dangerous spiders around these days, it could kill someone and it needed removing. Since we weren't told to evacuate the store immediately, I'm guessing he didn't listen. But obviously there is no way I can ever step foot in that place again!

Which one was it?

theduchessofspork · 17/09/2023 21:57

💯

It’ll have laid it’s babies inside all the chocolate by now.

You’ll never eat chocolate in this town again OP 🤠

Dave, the house spider.

theduchessofspork · 17/09/2023 21:57

ITS

Drews · 17/09/2023 21:58

Killer spiders don't wander the aisles of Tesco.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 17/09/2023 22:00

I don’t understand the spider hatred at all. We don’t really have dangerous spiders in the UK. If we were in Oz or something I’d understand but we’re not.

DiddyHeck · 17/09/2023 22:00

Unless you're not in the UK, I would've made the idiot woman who told him 'there are so many dangerous spiders around these days, it could kill someone and it needed removing', the subject of this thread 😳

Cupofteafortwo · 17/09/2023 22:01

Poor Dave was only doing his weekly shop

Mumsnet's a bit embarrassing when it comes to this sort of thing really.

The "burn the supermarket down" crew will be arriving shortly.

He should've done it on the web.

HeatherMoores · 17/09/2023 22:04

Several uk spiders do bite

WhateverMate · 17/09/2023 22:08

Maybe Dave's a health guru/weight loss expert and he crawls across the biscuits to prevent people from buying them?

He needs to keep his hairy, spidery nose out of people's business.

Should I remove the link?

ThisIsTheGreatestShow · 17/09/2023 23:01

😂😂😂

Sorry that was meant to be a reply to "he should have done it on the web"

Jemimapinotduck · 18/09/2023 08:01

He was shopping in Aldi... he did look a bit like the photo, maybe he'd had enough of bananas and fancied something different 🤣
