Hi All. Posted in this thread for traffic.. someone please help.. Aibu to contact GP or should I not bother?

Ive had some swelling in my neck for about 5-6wks now.. a friend whose a doctor said it feels like muscle spasms. So put it to back of my mind.. anyway I get alot of body aches.. possible fibro or Rheumatoid Arthritis (still awaiting appointment for this) GP referred me few months back.. Im on different meds from anxiety tabs/NSAIDS/painkillers. I noticed about 2 days ago my left upper arm was quite swollen. Can't find any lump around it but can see like a 'bruiselike' mark where the swelling starts. There had been a lump under armpit which friend also felt a few weeks ago but didnt think it was anything to worry about and its now gone as I can't find or feel it anymore.. So should I go back to my GP and get properly checked over? Anyone any experiences?

you definitely need to see GP about that.
don't leave it.
and don't let receptionist fob you off.
insist on doctor actually seeing, and touching, you.
all the best.

Thanks for your replies. Think I will definitely have to ring tomorrow morning for emergency appointment otherwise could be few weeks before being seen. This would drive me mad waiting. It doesn't hurt. Its just a very strange swollen arm.

how did you get on, OP ?

@alexdgr8 hello.. Got seen by the GP. He would like to keep an eye on it for a few weeks to see if theres any changes. Its still the same.. no bigger, no smaller & no pain. So Got alot of bloods taken & have another appointment to discuss those results next week. The bumps in my neck are muscle knots. So thankfully nothing serious with those🙏
