Am I being unreasonable … to think that my 25
year marriage was
done, but struggling 2 years later to find love …. Have you been happier and gone on to have another life? ( not super model looking !…. Just an average joe that doesn’t want to be alone for ever and just wants to feel loved)

I’d answer but I’m single and a lot younger than 65. I think there’s a chance you’ll meet someone special there’s a chance that you won’t. The important thing is to think about what you want to do for yourself in life.

Thank you for replying …. So kind. I’m happy with life, just don’t want to live it alone .x

I read online there is one in 562 chance of finding love in our 60s.

Just as well I am very happy alone!

I’m in my 60s and met the most amazing man 18 months ago. Several women I know have done similar. Please don’t be put off OP. There are many older men who are unexpectedly single again and want to find love.

This Is another example of misogyny. We are still vibrant, interesting and attractive women and a great catch for all the men out there!

BenjaminBunnyRabbit · 10/01/2024 13:20

Not me but I would say that it's entirely possible.

Keep an open mind. Keep trying new things. Keep putting yourself out there. Most of all, keep the faith. We never know what is out there and like can change in an instant (for good and bad).

I'm 62 and happy in my marriage but if I wasn't I'd 100 get a divorce and be hopeful of maybe finding love again.

I'm in my early 60s and haven't given up hope! I'm seeing a lovely guy who I met OLD in September, hopefully it'll lead to something more permanent but, if it doesn't I'll get back on the dating sites!

A friend of mine is recently widowed at 75 years old and is back dating again - you're never too old and fabulous to find that someone special!

Edited to say I've just seen this is an old thread!
