To name change for most posts?

I don’t know how many ‘name changes’ are allowed but I name change for many of my posts, not necessarily bothered if a specific situation outs me but more don’t want posts to link up if anyone searches.

I don’t usually keep a username more than a few days. Does this resonate with anyone else? I do go back to old usernames sometimes but more often than not I make a new one just to change it up.

Some people name change all the time and others have had the same name for years. You do whatever is best for you.

There's no limit on name changes on MN so do what you feel comfortable with.

I’ve used a fair few names but can’t be bothered thinking of a new one every few days! Do you use a random word generator or something? I’d also feel a bit bad for new users trying to find a name if I’d used dozens myself.

I've had dozens over the years.

Though, I think I recognise a lot of posters despite their name changes so I wonder if I'm recognised!

Hard to change your writing style and certain characteristics.

I used to keep the same name for months but now I change much more frequently. I had some weirdo DM me a while ago and it made me a bit paranoid.
