That's my quandary. I want to organise my photos into folders out of the main photo album otherwise what's the fking point of folders?

70 k plus here. Cat photos, screenshots of recipes, holidays, memes. I get major anxiety just thinking about organising the fkers 😳

I've slowly started chipping away at deleting some but probably got rid of 500 so far.

Not many because I don’t want my stuff stored on some random computer so no iCloud.
I tend to print them off and /or ruthlessly delete ones I don’t need to keep due to storage concerns.

If you have access to a Mac, there are additional features in the Photo app (on Mac OS) that make it easier to organise your images, such as smart albums and duplicates detection.

You can also "disconnect" your photo library from iCloud if you don't want to have the library to dynamically sync across all your devices.

For example you could have a library for every year and only keep the current year sunk (sic) on iCloud.
