To ask about your kitchen

To ask your cheapest kitchen recommendations?

I am widowed but prior to this my late husband would do it all himself (he was very handy) so I've never had to think about stuff like this

I have a small galley kitchen, U shape. At the moment it has 2 single cupboards, 2 double, a set of 3 drawers, the oven is in a housing and I have 3 double on the wall. (When I say double I mean it has 2 doors). No integrated appliances.

Looking to replace all cupboards and worktop, change to electric hob and a new fan.

I've got a friend who will fit it, so I'm just wondering the cheapest way to buy?

I can't measure for toffee so I don't know about that either.

Had quotes from magnet etc all at 5.5k without fitting, I was hoping for more like 2-3 k?

Kitchen is 5.01m x 2.16m

Sorry if this sounds stupid

Look at IKEA

You can buy second hand kitchens on the Internet

You can buy just new doors & handles for the cupboards

You can buy the new hob off the Internet

You just need someone to fit

Look up DIY Kitchens, we have installed one recently. Much cheaper then Wren, but you do have to plan it yourself

Yes ikea.
We bought a utility kitchen area from there. It’s about 4m long, has fridge/ freezer/ sink area/ built in bins.

Including all the cupboards, worktop they cut to measure, sink, bins, and everything it only cost us around £1000. The appliances we bought separately. The units come flat pack but pretty easy to
assemble. We fitted the entire kitchen area ourselves without prior knowledge so I’m sure your fitter friend won’t have a problem. I would say even for a bigger kitchen you can easily get something including some appliances for £3000
