Node in mums armpit

Has anyone known of similar

My mum (70) had a small lump in her breast two years ago, it was very slow growing but they removed the lump and she had treatment. She was fine since then, but went for her mammogram and the nurse said she has a small node under her armpit, she thinks it’s nothing to worry about, but is arranging a scan
I’m just feeling worried sick that’s it’s more cancer
Does anyone have any experience of this?

Definitely the right thing is to get it checked out.
I recently had a breast biopsy of a calcified area and had to wait 3 weeks for the (thankfully cancer free) results.
So i know it's horrible waiting to find out what the results will be.
Hopefully your mum will be ok x

I've had three nodes that all turned out to be cysts, but no history of cancer. Apparently it's a common place for cysts with sweat ducts getting blocked. Hopefully you'll get the all clear very soon xx

Lymph nodes swell all the time and the majority if the time it is nothing to worry about, and is just inflammation usually due to an infection somewhere in the body especially if it is at all sore or tender to touch or feels warm or goes down in two weeks.
My Mums swell a little when she gets a cold, it feels like a little grape under the skin and is sore to touch, for her it is just an immune response.

Its sensible to get it checked especially to put your minds at rest given her histort but at the moment there is every chance its totally fine.

Thanks everyone 💜

@Leafblow Yes, she’s recently been quite ill, cough, covid type symptoms, but not covid, perhaps is related to that. She didn’t notice it though
