Bin juice

I have a fear of germs and I’ve just gone to put a bin bag in the outside bin and it’s split slightly at the bottom and some liquid has leaked onto my hands. I’ve washed them straight away but now im panicking. How harmful will it be?

Not harmful at all, calm down, you've washed your hands and will be fine.

No-one ever died from bin juice. Just cross your fingers your hands don't dissolve overnight.

I have emetophobia (fear of vomiting). In your circumstances I wouldn't give it another thought after I'd washed my hands. You'll be totally fine.

Too late for A&E. Her hands will have melted by now and she'll never get the front unlocked to get out to the ambulance.

I once accidentally dropped my car keys into my parents' recently emptied bin, which had a fair quantity of bin juice in it. Retrieving them was a real treat!

It’s absolutely fine don’t stress - but I get it- I scrubbed all the toilets during the week and washed my hands several times as I just didn’t feel they were clean. Not usually like that but sometimes our mind plays out like that. (Question why does bin juice always smell the same whatever is in the bin?)

If you are a human, you will be absolutely fine. I understand you fear germs, but we do need some exposure to maintain healthy immunity.

If you were a Labrador, you would have gobbled the lot. My dogs love licking up the bin juice!
