An Elastoplast?

LuckyAmy1986 · 14/09/2023 18:21

Yes exactly

Heat it with hairdryer and scrape

LuckyAmy1986 · 14/09/2023 18:23

@LarryStylinson I tried the hairdryer but the hotter it got the more it just embedded itself/ melted into the carpet!!

Sticky stuff remover

You'll never look back

Xiaoxiong · 14/09/2023 18:23

Hairdryer to melt the glue.

Why would DH go mad?? It's just a plaster Confused

Xiaoxiong · 14/09/2023 18:24

You can also use a very sharp knife and slice it just under the plaster.

HollaHolla · 14/09/2023 18:24

Honestly. I thought you meant the plaster that holds your walls together.
Can you not just heat it/put some soapy water on it? I think I'd be looking at why you're quite so frightened of your DH's potential reaction.

Valhalla17 · 14/09/2023 18:25

I'm not seeing the difficulty....take it off?! Use tweezers to grab an edge...get underneath it

Rather than dh going nuts, maybe he can help get it off

LuckyAmy1986 · 14/09/2023 18:25

@Xiaoxiong I mean if o don’t get it off!

so keep going with the hairdryer?

BeautifulGnome · 14/09/2023 18:25

Pop a wet paper towel on it 🤣

Seriously! But I'd use a wet flannel really. The moisture will help like soaking off a plaster in the bath

LuckyAmy1986 · 14/09/2023 18:25

@Valhalla17 it’s so embedded I can’t get under it

LuckyAmy1986 · 14/09/2023 18:26

I’m going to show him now and see what he says p

LuckyAmy1986 · 14/09/2023 18:28

Ok h did t react badly at all. He was like well
Dont worry we’ll get it off and has gone to get some foaming stuff?!

honestly thought he’d be so mad as it’s new carpet and it’s my side of the bed

No-one suggested lube and a fish slice...

LarryStylinson · 15/09/2023 08:46

Oh no. I'm so sorry! I managed this after my kid had welded some plasters in their carpet before.
