Do all women get this?

Just spent the past few days feeling like I look like shit. Hair is drab and greasy. No matter how much make up I use I look shattered for no reason. Skin is dull and dry.

Today I actually felt depressed and thought I need Botox. Want to cancel an evening out next week.

Nothings changed, in fact I've eaten well and drink plenty of water. I just mentioned on a family chat and all the women (all ages) said they get the same. Is this actually a "thing"? Do we all get it? For context I last started a period 2 weeks ago

Yes! Every month I have what feels like an ugly week 😂 hair goes all frizzy, skin dry and horrible and nothing sits right on me clothes wise and I start questioning my whole existence (light heartedly obvs 😂).

I also want to empty my entire wardrobe and start again.

Anaemic?

Jeffreybubblesbombom · 13/09/2023 18:34

I used to until 5 years ago when l started SI vitamin b12 once a week. ( buy from Germany at £1 per ampoule) £30 a shot private here.. my markers according to GP blood tests were " their normal" obviously not my normal.

No, I don't ever feel like I look like shit. Sometimes I think I look better or worse than on other days, but I don't spend much time thinking about my appearance and how my face looks this day or another. I don't wear make-up at all so I can't comment on that.

Yes! Going through it right now!
Done nothing different but I look so dull, tired and my hair is shit. Happens every month usually around a few days after ovulation I've noticed. I'm 31 btw. Takes ALOT more effort to look even remotely human for a few days!

I think your menstural cycle has a lot to do with it

Pre and during ovulation I feel great. Just before my period I feel more rubbish

There is actually scientific evidence to back this up (somewhere)

QueenAstrid · 13/09/2023 19:08

Yes! Also just before my period. My skin gets greasy and I look older and more knackered. I always put more make up on to compensate but it tends to make it worse.
