House spiders live inside all year round under things like the fridge or sofa curled up. They come out at this time of year to mate. Most of the big ones you see can’t survive outside

2 in my bedroom last week (one actually in my bed 😭) Marched off to Tesco for a can of raid and none since. Hoping word has spread among the spider community but fully anticipating a second wave. Sleeping in DS room until November..
