Just that really
how much do you pay and for how many hours ?

OP posts:
bluechameleon · 11/09/2023 17:50

4.70 per hour, they can do 1 or 2 hours.

Youcancallmeirrelevant · 11/09/2023 17:54

£4.50 for 3:30-5. One of the main things that helped us decide on which primary school

wherethewaterisdarker · 11/09/2023 17:56

Ours is £8 for 3:30-4:45 - thanks for this thread, I had no idea how much higher than average this is!

Phos · 11/09/2023 17:57

It depends. If they are doing a club (like sport or art or something) it’s either £40 or £50 a term and they get a snack of fruit before they start.

If it’s just after school club where they either do homework or play it’s £7.00 until 5 or £16.00 until 6. The tea is usually sandwiches, fruit or crudités and a yogurt or biscuit or cake.

NoInstrument · 11/09/2023 18:00

£4 7.30-9am
£6 7.15-9am or 3.30-4.45pm
£8 3.30-5.15pm
£1 per 15 minutes after 5.15pm up to 6pm

Or £10 for a day for 7.30am to 5.30pm

I get the feeling they don't like being open after 5.30pm

Flippingflamingo · 11/09/2023 18:11

Ours is 3:20-6pm and £9.

It’s ran by a private company.

Callmemummynotmaaa · 11/09/2023 18:15

London: £22 per day 3:30-6:30 (£19 if collecting at 5:30!). Run in the school but externally facilitated. No in-house options apart from clubs etc are 1 hour max.

Callmemummynotmaaa · 11/09/2023 18:16

Oh and we dont use breakfast club but it’s £8 extra per day

GotMooMilk · 11/09/2023 18:20

I’m not sure on hourly rate but pay £125pcm for each child (2!) that covers after school club 3 days a week term time, breakfast club once a week term time and also for holiday clubs (3 days/week over Easter and 3 weeks in summer). Tbh compared to £1050 a month for nursery it’s a bargain!

avocadotofu · 11/09/2023 18:22

£14 and it's from 3:25 to 6:30.

HectorGloop · 11/09/2023 22:37

I didn’t mention breakfast club, which is only from 8.15 but it’s free! Fab.

popcornfrenzy · 11/09/2023 22:41

£6 for 15:15 - 17:30, includes a snack

soundsys · 11/09/2023 22:48

£11.30 from 3.15 until 6 from Y1 up

Then there's a separate early years club for nursery and reception that's £14

whatsinanameeh · 11/09/2023 23:18

£12,50 3.30-6

Some days he there one hour. Sometimes two but it's still £12.50 ans his dinner is spaghetti hoops and toast or processed cheese slices and toast 🥲

FlyingPandas · 11/09/2023 23:25

£14 for 3:15 - 6pm, run by school staff, includes a decently filling snack (pasta pot or baguette etc) and a good variety of activities. That level of cost is pretty standard for schools around here tbh (leafy area, ,home counties, about 30 mins from London).

Dreamingofthishouse · 11/09/2023 23:48

£30 2:50-6pm include light snack and lift from school to centre ( 5 mins drive max)! Im being ripped off it seems, no other option!

UndercoverCop · 12/09/2023 00:04

£11 3:15-5:45 including snack

SparklyShoesandTutus · 12/09/2023 00:08

£15, 3.20-6 South East

sillyuniforms · 12/09/2023 00:08

Omg @Dreamingofthishouse
Where is that ??
We were always around £10 3-6pm

sillyuniforms · 12/09/2023 00:09

Including a light tea

frenchfancy81 · 12/09/2023 00:10

£10 from 3-6pm

Sugarfree23 · 12/09/2023 00:21

£13 for 3pm-5.45 not cheap.
But it does include a snack, toast or something and juice. I'm surprised how cheap some of these are.
Ours is a not for profit organisation but they do pay a hefty rent to the council for the space. And feel that a church or community hall might be cheaper they really need the playground to provide a safe outdoor space for kids.

DrCoconut · 12/09/2023 00:58

There aren't any here anymore. And all the childminders are full as a result. Lockdown just finished so many childcare providers. It's very difficult to work around school age kids.

DrCoconut · 12/09/2023 01:01

There's breakfast club though. It's £1 a day (and 3 days a week free if you are on FSM) and they get cereal, toast and juice. It's aimed more at feeding children than childcare for working parents.

AlltheFs · 12/09/2023 01:05
