Why can't I find school admissions data?

Hi

I'm going through the application for secondary schools but can't find anywhere the link to LEA data on most recent admissions...

Our first choce is close by but just out of catchment

I want to know what is the percentage of pupils that attended the school out of catchment and what are the perimeters on a local map..for the previous years

I've looked all over government websites, school links, everywhere but can't find it - google searches just come up with a website that wants me to pay £25 a month to unlock the data - I'm not doing that ha - shouldn't this information be freely accessible?

Can anyone help?

I know for my local authority this is really easy to find on their website. What county is it you are looking for?

HipHipWhoRay · 10/09/2023 20:06

School websites on the whole are dreadful! I’ve found that info in past by googling the name of school plus ‘distance to last offer’, and usually a table appears. I think usually council holds the information

Mumdiva99 · 10/09/2023 20:08

It's on our Local Authority website. We are a unitary authority do that for us is the Council. Google your town or COunty and school allocation profile.

Or tell us where you live and we can try to help.

Bear in mind I think distances published are offer day distances not the final ones.

Screamingabdabz · 10/09/2023 20:13

Just ring the school and ask them. They should give you the information. You might need to wait a day or so but they’ll dig it out for you.

I haven’t been able to find it for our county, some data but bot what I want. If anyone has a link for Rutland (primary) please share.

All I can see is that 98.4% got their first choice which seems encouraging but I want something school specIfic.
