When I started work at my new job a woman there was disgusting. I was new to everything and the way she spoke to me was disrespectful.

For example, I asked her when I could find a particular link to a website and she said, I'm not being funny but where do we fu**ing work? Insinuating I was stupid.

I also asked if they thought I was ready to complete a particular task now I had been there for a week. She turned around to me and said, if you think you're ready, there you f**ing go and plonked a pile of papers on my desk in an aggressive way.

I spoke up about her and left the office to work with colleagues next door. We still work in the same department and she now ignores me and will speak to everyone else in the office.

It hurts me sometimes that she ignores me and she's just a pain in the arse.

I don't know what I've done.

Yes!

She sounds vile! Does she have the same problem with others?

ThreeLittleDots · 09/09/2023 10:28

Horrid cow. I'm glad you spoke up about her and were moved. I wouldn't say her ignoring you is bullying unless it affects your work. I'd try to feel amused by her ridiculousess rather than intimidated.

Surely it's a good thing that you don't have to talk to her

darganfod · 09/09/2023 10:32

Yeah it's good but when she addresses the whole office except me it makes me feel annoyed I won't lie. But can't make someone talk with you either.

Has nobody else noticed? Surely she makes herself look petty?

MorningNoonAndNight · 09/09/2023 10:50

If I witnessed this behaviour, I'd think she was an arsehole! I get that it bothers you, being excluded, that's natural. The best way to overcome it is to kill her with kindness. That'll piss her right off!

darganfod · 09/09/2023 13:05

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed or they are too scared of her.
