We blocked out all the dates for this year from September. Despite this we got a booking for 8th September. We immediately contacted the guest to say there was a foul up and also AirBnB. The upshot is that the guest was unable to book anywhere else on the site because they are shown as coming to us, AirBnB want to charge us £60 cancellation fee for a mistake that was clearly theirs. This has happened before but that time we took the booking anyway but this time we can't. Has anyone else had this issue, please? AIBU to leave AirBnB for a different site and point blank refuse to pay them this £60?
