I gave up alcohol, chocolate and Mumsnet for Lent. Have had 3 glasses of wine, 3 squares of Milka and am now posting on Mumsnet. Is there a refreshment Sunday? Will I go to Hell?

I should add that I have only broken my fast today because I read about refreshment Sunday. Is it American? Do I have to do the accent? Fark.

According to a vicar friend of my parents, Sundays aren't part of Lent (count the days, it is only 40 days if you skip the Sundays), so you can have the things you gave up

Of course there is Refreshment Sunday.

To commemorate Our Lord coming briefly down from the Cross to have a nice cup of tea and some digestives.

I thought that Mothering Sunday was the day that the lent rules were relaxed for one day.
