To beg for alarm clock help!

I reaaaally need help on finding something that will work to get me out of bed early in the morning without constantly snoozing. I'm not lazy, I just am a terrible morning person and I want to improve so I'm not rushing around before work and actually have time to eat breakfast. I can't use alarms on my phone as I just snooze them. I can't use Alexa as I will just shout "Alexa, turn off" from bed until the very last minute that I can afford to stay in bed.

I need something that works for people who struggle in the morning, and something that I can't easily snooze/turn off due to being really irritating etc.

Please don't bother telling me to "just get up" etc as you obviously don't understand unless you struggle too

Can't you just put an alarm clock at the other side of the room/ on the landing so that you have to get up to turn it off?

Several cheap alarm clocks in different parts of the room set to go off 5m apart, that will keep beeping until you either turn them off or the batteries run down.

My brother had one that had a little helicopter thing on it that flew off across the room and it wouldn't turn off until you found the helicopter and put it back. It also made the most ungodly cacophony of noise. I can't find the exact one but something like this:

Helicopter!

If you have to get up at 7am, as soon as you put your head on the pillow at night tap your forehead 7 times.
Don't know how it works, but it has never failed me!

Puzzle alarm clock app.. you have to solve a puzzle or answer a question before you can get the wretched thing to stop making a racket... it works though because you have to wake your brain up a bit

The Alarmy app - absolute god send for me!

Honestly this was a game changer for me. Gradually wakes you up using natural type light before alarm goes off, usually the light alone wakes me up before the sound happens. Much nicer way to wake up.

Easy fix is to set the alarm on your phone and place it far from the bed so you have to get up physically to turn it off.

A gentler wake up is possible with one of those sunrise alarms. They are a bit pricey but seem nice.

You can turn the microphone off on Alexa so you can't shout to turn off the alarm.

This sounds good to me!

I’m like you OP. I struggle to wake up. You’re right, people who know, know. It’s not just laziness - I can feel physically sick first thing and then fine later on if I get up in the right way.

The really loud harsh alarms, or those that can’t be snoozed/ run away / require a puzzle sound like torture to me, and I think would keep me feeling unwell all day.

I found being woken by small children in the early years extra hard for that reason as you can’t “snooze” them, you have to get up right then. Ditto days like Christmas Day when even older primary kids won’t be “snoozed”…

A gradual wake up sounds much better.

I have one of those sunrise alarms. It's lovely but it doesn't work for me. I can doze through it easily. Even with the radio on, loud. And my phone alarm going off. If you find a solution OP let me know, I need it too.
