Life insurance with DeadHappy

Not an AIBU but posting for traffic

looking at life insurance as I think it’s good to have just incase. Came across deadhappy, have not yet read their T&Cs but so far they look reasonable.

what kind of things do I need to consider when taking out life insurance? How do I know what total amount to select for the pay out?

might sound silly but I have never had to do this before and don’t want to miss anything obvious!

I have a fiancé, and 2 kids with third due shortly.

thanks!

Go through the Martin Lewis money saving expert website. Top of his list to try are a company called Cavendish Online, they are brilliant and call you and do it all over the phone with no cost to you. They also guarantee to beat any other price so you won't find cheaper. I think this is why Martin Lewis recommends them. You can do it yourself online but if you're clueless about it I'd recommend doing it over the phone with their guidance.

OP if it's new to you you may want to consider getting some regulated advice? Not sure how you go about that other than a financial advisor. Obviously there will be a cost for this however they then have a legal obligation make sure you are not mis sold

Otherwise if you go solo use the cooling off period to check everything to a T

I think especially considering your life circumstances right now definitely don't dismiss getting actual advise just on the basis of cost
Good luck
