We get on great, but the kids have totally taken over. As they are becoming more independent , we aren’t taking opportunities to reconnect. I am trying and we have come a long way , but is it too late?

There's not really enough info to go on in your post.

The situation you describe sounds typical for many couples, especially with multiple kids and busy working lives.

Why aren't you taking the time to reconnect?

I dont think we can answer this with very little info to go off. Why aren't you taking the opportunities? What have you done to try? Is he/she not trying? Do you want to reconnect? If you get on great aren't you already connected?
