Blood test results

Just got my blood test results back and 7 levels were problematic. After speaking with my GP, I still have no idea what’s wrong with me. I have breast pain, no periods in a year, hot sweats.

They’ve given a folate prescription. The rest of the levels they said to ignore; aside from low cholesterol - they said make lifestyle changes but couldn’t say what changes. Advised me to look at the British Heart Foundation which doesn’t cover too low cholesterol, just how to lower cholesterol. Aibu to feel a bit lost as feel no closer to finding out what’s wrong? any advice appreciated

Hi OP, how old are you? Could the symptoms be menopause?

Re low cholesterol you can see how you should change your diet here: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/318598

Do you have a copy of your test results or know what the other levels related too? Also, you should be aware that for many things they’re likely to have tested, it’s best to fast for 8 hours beforehand for dependable results, so some may not be as bad as you think.

@Naunet I have attached my results if that helps! I’m in my 20s so don’t think it’s menopause. I did come off the contraceptive injection last year but my periods never returned.

If your periods didn't come back I'd be asking them to investigate early menopause

I’m not sure because lots of people online said it took a while for their periods to return after the injection. My last injection was in December and I would have been due the next one around April, so I suppose it’s only been a few months since my last dose was due

By the looks of it your HDL is too low. The HDL is your 'good' cholesterol. So it normally needs to go up by lowering your LDL or 'bad' cholesterol. So eating a healthy diet and following the BHF advice should make it better.
