2 hours to get ready

AIBU to think that taking two hours to get ready for a night out is too much?

It takes me about 45 - 1hr if I wash and dry my hair and do make-up for a night out. But only 15 mins if I'm doing basic make-up during the day.

Someone I know does, and she moaned that her boyfriend gets annoyed.

I know it's none of my business, but I'm interested to see how long other women take.

Two hours sounds good to me for a big night out. I could do one hour if my outfit etc was picked and I had already eaten (if needed!), but I would prefer longer just to be able to take my time.

I have been known to turn myself around in 10 mins when needed though - and those are the best nights!

Right, well, with the added information, then I'm with her boyfriend.

If you aren't including showering the sand off her body and washing chlorine out of her hair and applying aftersun, then 2 hours is ridiculous.

She isn't talking about the annual works do, or a reunion of old friends, or a wedding, she is talking about going out each night on holiday (presumably to eat, drink and be merry), then wasting 2 hours night after night is just daft, and no, not 'usual'.
