Child maintenance with holding payments

Looking through some other posts I’ve seen this is a common thing but I really find it annoying that child maintenance will sit on the money for months before passing it over. There should be something in place where they are fined for with holding the money as they chase parents and crack down on them not paying but it’s annoying when they are just as bad and keep a hold of the money and yet admit it when you call them. They are like oh yes it’s been there for 2 weeks we don’t know why you haven’t been paid. Out of 69.40 I receive 37.00 as it’s on a deduction of earnings order so I get very little anyways which is set to increase slightly next month. Surely something can be done about this company

I have been wondering about this, I’ll give them a ring, the pattern of payments is practically no longer a pattern.

I’ve had to ring them again this morning as it is chaos with them. They have no clue what’s going on as it’s happening a lot where they are keeping the money: I once had to close down the case and then reopen it 2 days later to get them to release the money that was sat on the account as they refused to release it and then they were like oh wait we have some money sat there from your old account that’s been there a while.
