Hi all, tried to name change but couldn't so this might be outing. Fuck it.
For 10 years I've worked as a care assistant and also in construction, 2 jobs very different but great in thier own ways. I much prefer working as a care assistant, yes less money but job is so much better, the difference to peoples life's is amazing.
Last year I decided to finally apply to be an ambulance technician, not paramedic (differed breed) before you do this it's required to have a C1 license which is about roughly 1k, I saved up. Then found out I was pregnant with DS, money went on baby things. Still now time to go back to work, it really is all I want to do. I feel it's a really important job just now, more staff needed but not having a fair chance.
AiBU to think that even if we have to sit an exam the driving should be part of training.
YABU- NHS has better things to spend money on
