Hello, Posting here for traffic as I am pretty desperate now. Does anyone have any experience of family estrangement, please, & can recommend an online therapist/counsellor who I could talk to? Myself & my husband are struggling with it & we really need some objective help. Thank you

Yes, but didn’t have therapy or counselling.

There’s an estrangement section over on Gransnet. If there’s toxic family relationships leading to estrangement you may find the Stately Homes thread useful.

When you say estrangement, Is it someone refusing contact with you? I don’t know about online therapists. Your GP should be able to give you a list of local therapy options. Some of those may offer phone or online appointments. Or maybe try Relate. They may offer something in this area.

It depends if you have cut ties, or are on the receving end.

Could you post here, lots of us have been through this.
