Train Ticket Office Consultation Closes Tonight

Please tell our profiteering train companies that we need our ticket offices to stay open! Once this service is gone, it’ll be gone forever. Another erosion of customer service by dividend focused train company management.

You have until tonight to add your voice.

YABU - Nope I’m fine with the loss of services.
YANBU - I agree we want these offices to stay open!

Thankyou for posting this. Me and my two adult children have filled it in.

Done. I'm autistic and cannot use the machines without severe anxiety. I always go to the ticket office. If they close then I'll have to drive.

Signed and shared. It doesn't impact me currently but I can see the way it's going and how it will impact on others. Not just the vulnerable, but everyone who uses the railways and may need support or guidance.

Thanks for the reminder. Another one who’s elderly mother will be negatively impacted by this decision. I hope they’ve carried out a robust EIA on this proposal as seems inevitable
it would disproportionately impact the elderly and those with additional access needs.

Many thanks for those that sent in their views. I’m so glad that a few more folks have submitted their objections.

I wasn’t sure anyone would see this post! It’s madness to lose a service that the most vulnerable people require and helps us all stay safe. The disregard and dismissal of ordinary people’s life’s shown by businesses and govt alike is infuriating.

All these natural monopolies privatised by govt have resulted in 100’s millions in dividends for private equity owners and a loss of services for users.
