Severe pain and bleeding during exam

Posting here as I posted in General and Women’s health but got no response. In need of a handhold.

I’ve been bleeding between periods and having pains in my side since September of last year. Ended up in hospital in April, where my culture swab came back clear. Was brought in today for a cervical exam, but the exam was cut short as I was in severe pain and began bleeding heavily once the speculum was inserted. The doctor was quite concerned, and booked me in for a scan on Monday. Said she couldn’t see my cervix because of the blood, so couldn’t see if there was anything on it. The level of pain I felt was unusual and the amount of blood was also unusual.

Has anyone ever experienced this? I’m still bleeding and in pain hours later. Family history of ovarian cancer, and suspected endo.

The doctor mentioned this would happen after my scan, depending on if anything was found on it.

Did the laparoscopy hurt?

A laparoscopy is done under general anaesthetic. You may get referred pain in shoulder area afterwards.
