Toddler and first holiday without a cot.

We’re about to go on our first holiday without a cot, our toddler is 3 very soon.

At home they have a cot bed with one side taken off and a bed guard so they can get in and out their self.

The plan for the holiday was for them to sleep on the sofa bed in the hotel with pillows and sofa pillows on the floor. But I’m worrying I won’t sleep thinking about if they fall out and that’s not good enough to keep them safe?

Did anyone take any portable bumpers on holiday or is that just a waste of packing space?

Try a blow up bed if you're worried?

My toddler ended up just getting out and ending up in my bed 😄

We take a travel bed guard with us as generally the floors are pretty hard.

The other cheaper trick is a pool noodle under the sheet as a bit of a bumper

Buy a pool noodle when you get there and tuck it under the mattress on the outside so the bed tilts upwards slightly.
if it is tiled floors put the sofa cushions on the floor
give up and put him in your bed?
good luck and enjoy your trip!

Pool noodle! Works a treat

Mine coslept on holiday at that age but with the pool noodle trick on one side and the bed against a wall. They tend to be quite hard floors so would worry me too

We did that.
