We have moved to a small acreage in a rural area. We are surrounded by houses on smaller blocks. Our front door is on a street and across from a field and a stream. This morning, we found poop on our front door mat, most likely from a Marder (like a weasel). How likely is it that a wild animal would poop at your front door, on the mat, under street lights, and not anywhere else? As in, in the field across? I am wondering if someone put it there.
