Waiting in for your Waitrose order?

Apparently their systems are down, all deliveries today are cancelled. If you didn't get a text at 6am telling you this, me too. This info from the Salisbury branch which covers a wide area, don't know if ithe outage is across the country or just this area of South West. Nuisance.

Just my shopping then?

A few people on Twitter have said they got a text telling them it wasn’t coming at the time it was due to arrive, so it may be many people don’t realise their shopping is not in fact on its way. One of them said it is still showing on the website as due for delivery despite the text.

Ah, thank you. Just had email from waitrose saying apologies, all deliveries today cancelled but problem is now fixed so re-book. Have ordered for tomorrow🤞.

I hope you get it. I usually get a Waitrose order midweek, but went with Ocado this week, as there are a few things they stock that I’m running low on. It’s rare for me to do something that works out well, I’m usually the one that gets landed with these sort of things going wrong! (She says, hoping that she hasn’t now jinxed her Ocado order due in an hour….).

I also didn’t get my order this morning. Slot 8-9 and text arrived at 9 to say cancelled. I could have gone back to bed gone shopping before I had other appointments had I known when I got up! Had another text saying I’ll get an email later but nothing so far. Have rebooked for tomorrow but moved most of my order over to Ocado for the same day/time. Am also expecting the water company tomorrow to dig up the road outside so that could all be fun if all 3 turn up at the same time…

When I was looking at my orders before I'd spoken to them, I thought I saw it was due to be delivered by Uber Eats. ? Not there now. I hope they haven't contracted with Uber for deliveries

received a text 30 mins before delivery was due. After waiting over 50mins on the phone they tell me a problem nationwide stopped them taking card payments. How that stops them delivering I cant work out They have just lost a customer !

Good luck with Ocado if you are covered by the new Luton drivers. Alternate weeks it seems I get a new driver/one in training and my delivery is often an hour or more late, once it was almost 3 hours. Sometimes the site is updated, sometimes not.

I am also sad that I always get a plum van, and if not it is still a purple one. I liked the different ones, it made my boring life a bit less boring.
