I'll preface by saying I know this comes up time and again but looking for perspective on our situation.
We live on an unadopted road that is not a through route. It just has our house and 6 others and the end house is the dead end. Cars do come up and down it but obviously not loads. We also don't get many passers by, as where would they be going. Our daughter has recently met the boy next door who is maybe a year older and has had a great time this evening riding bikes up and down the road. I was pottering in the open garage for most of the time as this is the first time this has happened. On the one hand we think it's fabulous she's found someone nearby to play with (her other friends are scattered all over) but I have a little bit of nervousness about her riding up and down or playing completely unsupervised.
She's 6, is it too young or am I just being overprotective because it's a new thing!
