'We can achieve 100% attendance, but only if we work together.'

How is 100% attendance realistically achievable?! What absolute bollocks is this?

YANBU - perfectly achievable
YABU - not achievable (even without covid, bullying, unmet SEN or mental health issues)

No idea how to enable voting.

It's ridiculous, as is schools giving treats to kids who get 100% attendance. One of sons never had a day off ill for the whole of secondary. He didn't deserve a certificate, it was just pure luck he never caught anything (his brothers were certainly off sick at times while he was fine - so it's not like I made a sick child go to school)

One of mine for his 100% attendance treat and then had the following week off with chicken pox! Meanwhile, his brother who'd had chickenpox before the treat missed out because he'd obviously needed a week off.

It's so unfair on those who can never get 100% due to disabilities, illnesses, other appointments etc.

And the parents that don't care about attendance still don't care about attendance.
